What about our summer of 2020 Family Reunion? This picture from the early 1900s was of my ancestor, Ephraim Bowen's descendants. Indeed, the pandemic has taken a toll on large gatherings. Have people ever lied to the census takers? While researching a client's ancestry, I came across a Jennie May Morrison, who on April 6, 1940, was recorded as living with her two daughters, declaring herself to be a married woman, but there is no husband listed. 6 days later, she appeared again in the census as the wife of Paul Morrison, with two different daughters. Coronavirus is dominating the news. What used to scare folks? The picture above shows my Great Uncle Ralph on the big horse with his brothers Luther, and my Grandpa Virgil on the pony. The picture to left shows brothers Luther, Virgil, Clifford, and baby James. Baby James died of measles in May 1921, and Ralph the oldest died 3 months later of typhoid fever in August 1921.
